About the role

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will lead the development and delivery of our software products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for managing a team of software engineers and overseeing their work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of software products for Carson, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that they meet the needs of our customers

• Manage a team of software engineers, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills and deliver high-quality work

• Develop and maintain software development processes, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and scalable

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to prioritize product features and ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget

• Identify and mitigate risks to the success of software development projects, and communicate these risks to stakeholders as needed

• Work with other members of the leadership team to develop and execute on strategic plans for the company

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development, and provide guidance on how to incorporate them into our products and processes

 

Ideal background

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role

• Strong technical skills in software development, with expertise in multiple programming languages and frameworks

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks to software development projects

• Experience with property tech or real estate software products is a plus
